I am going to chicago this weekend with my mom and sister. The tickets were christmas presents. Apparently we will be doing a lot of shopping, though I honestly don’t know who has the money for it right now. I know its not me. I might buy a hot dog while I’m there. Might.

I will upload some hand drawn sketches when I return to make up for the missed days. I will even date them, I promise I won’t be a blog-cheatin-slack-off.

I am really upset with the lack of will-power I suddenly have with trying to be healthy during the cold months. I can go a good day or two eating healthy, but then I see shit like ice cream in the fridge, or the giant box of ferrero rocher chocolates on the table, and it goes to hell. I ordered some new fitness tapes (tapes? I really typed “tapes”? ugh, dvd’s, seriously…), about two weeks ago, and they still haven’t arrived. Once it is warm enough to ride my bike again, I’m sure I’ll feel better.

A friend has had it in his possession for 6 months with the intention of fixing a few things, so I politely asked if we could speed up that process by, say, the end of this week. I’m wondering what to include into this blog! Lots of stuff! Pictures! un-solicited advice! Sordid tales! Who knows!

I do know that soon, 2012 will be here. I’m not actually referring to the whole judgement thing, but the fact that this year is almost over. And it has been good. 2011 treated me well. All resolutions can be checked off the list, and if there is one thing I’ve found out about myself, it is the fact that I can achieve anything if I hold myself accountable. In the last year I’ve managed to get comfortable in a house that I had bought myself, I’ve quit smoking, and I’ve lost nearly a third of my body weight since March. Didn’t think it was possible, but hey, I’m only 23 years old and now I can give myself new goals to work towards.

With much thought, here is my list of goals for 2012:

-Maintain my new energy and health.

-Succeed in renovating my backyard this spring to include vegetable garden and patio.

-This year I found out I could swim a consecutive mile. Next year I’m going for two.

-The moment it warms up, I will not take the weather for granted. You will see me on my bike or at the pool every day.

-Take a weeklong trip to anywhere out of this state.

-Buy a computer pen-tablet, and even until I do, I will get back into the habit of sketching everyday, and loading as much as I can to this blog.

-Look into the ways I can successfully go back to school at UNL starting 2013. I want to do everything possible to eliminate the chance of taking out a student loan. I cannot shake the urge to pursue a double major in Spanish and Art. Fingers crossed.

So yeah. The main purpose of this blog? So I can see how well these ideas, hopes, and dreams develop over the course of a year. I wanna see how much I can put on my plate before I’ve realized I’ve bitten off more than I could chew. Challenge accepted.
